Corporate volunteering with City Mission

Corporate volunteering is a great way deepen your organisation’s connection with the local community by giving a sense of what City Mission achieves in supporting those experiencing hardship in Northern Tasmania.

Beyond this, corporate volunteering creates room for team building through hands-on experience, being out of the office, and undertaking a challenge outside of usual routine and environment. We truly value the contributions of all who come along and play their part in making a difference.

Pictured below are team members from Rio Tinto Bell Bay Aluminium, who between two-days came with an amazing team of 24 volunteers to lend a helping hand. 13 volunteers spent time at the Youngtown Warehouse sorting donations, and 11 volunteers spent time at Orana House spearheading a garden makeover.

After their productive mornings, both teams enjoyed lunch with members of the City Mission Leadership Team sharing stories of what City Mission does and how valued volunteers are.

Having feedback from the organisers was brilliant. The feeling of appreciation really makes it incredibly rewarding
