School Volunteering with City Mission.

City Mission provides volunteering options for schools to see first hand the work City Mission does, and to play their part in making their community a better place. Mission Shops provide a valuable source of income to help fund City Mission’s services for people in need.

School groups big or small can come and help out at one of our services or facilities and make the most out of their time out of their usual school environment.

Highlights

November 2024 - Scotch Oakburn College

Year 9 students came to volunteer at City Mission as part of their community service commitments. Over two days 56 students helped out at our Youngtown, Newnham, Prospect, and Ravenswood shops.

The fun included sorting clothes and other items, price tagging items for sale, trimming fabrics, and helping out around the store.
