About City Mission

170 Years of Caring

A truly local charity, City Mission has been providing care and assistance to people experiencing hardship and disadvantage in our local community for 170 years. We continue to be driven by our mission to transform lives in the name of Jesus.

History

Established in Launceston in 1854, City Mission is Australia's second oldest 'Mission' and has been providing care and assistance to people experiencing hardship and disadvantage in our community for 170 years. Through our work we continue to transform the lives of over 10,000 North & North West Tasmanians each year.
