Clarry Pryor Receives Life Membership

City Mission Chair, Tim Holder and CEO Jo Fearman met with Clarry Pryor recently to share the news that the Launceston City Mission Board had conferred Life Membership to him.

Clarry, aged 98, a former architect, designed the City Mission building in Frederick Street, Launceston.

Clarry served on the Launceston Council between 1962 and 1973 and served as Mayor of Launceston between 1965 and 1966. In 1970 Clarry was awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth 2nd during her visit to Hobart.

He was Chairman of the Launceston City Mission Board from 1999 to 2005. Amongst many fine attributes, Clarry is known for caring deeply for people and having a strong willingness to help those in need.
