Morton's Place 'Big Brekkie' gets sponsored

Morton's Place usually host a 'Big Brekkie' on the last Thursday of each month, serving up eggs and bacon.

This usually costs customers $2 each to enjoy, but thanks to Nic and Lisa from Fancy Faces, we were able to provide February's hot breakfast meal for free.

This was a great initiative by our staff, volunteers and Nic and Lisa for jumping at the opportunity to support it. We have been overwhelmed with the amount of support this initiative has had from other local organisations wishing to get involved.

Morton's Place serves 17,000 meals each year to those in need in the local community of Launceston. Breakfast and lunch is available on weekdays and, for a small fee of $5, customers can enjoy a two-course hot lunch meal.
Additional support is also available including counselling, chaplaincy, Centrelink assistance, budgeting assistance, mentoring, haircuts, showers and laundry facilities.

Anyone who is interested in sponsoring a 'Big Brekkie' can contact our marketing team on (03) 6335 3000 or email marketing.team@citymission.org.au
