20 years and new Activity Centre

On Wednesday 27 September, Missiondale staff, volunteers and residents hosted an afternoon tea to celebrate the 20-year anniversary.

Since 1997 Missiondale has been providing support to the community as part of the Alcohol and Other Drug sector in Tasmania with over 1,200 residents having completed the rehabilitation program during this time.

In addition to celebrating the 20-year anniversary, Premier Will Hodgman officially opened the newly developed Activity Centre. Funded by Tasmanian Community Fund and Vos Foundation, the activity centre gives Missiondale residents a space for music and exercise therapy.

The activity centre was designed by S. Group and constructed by Vos Constructions.

The event was held at the redeveloped activity centre and attended by local and state government representatives along with City Mission staff and board members.
