In developing the ESG framework, we worked to ensure alignment with the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), and relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that we contribute include:

We believe these frameworks will help ensure a focus is maintained on lasting impacts for our society, and the environment, while ensuring we practice good governance in our delivery, as part of staying focused on our Vision, Transforming lives in the name of Jesus.

Our service sectors and their accordance with the pillars of impact and SDGs:

Emergency Relief and Housing

Community Development

Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs

Children, Youth and Futures

Social Enterprise Operations

People and Culture

Community Relations, Marketing and Fundraising

Understanding that these outcomes must relate to long terms benefits of our community, City Mission has also developed an Environmental Social Governance (ESG) framework. This both compliments and incorporates the organisational outcomes, as well as broadening our lens to address other aspects of care for the environment, society, and good governance.

Our ESG framework defines three main pillars of impact:

Transforming Communities

Reshaping the lives and futures of Tasmanians and their communities. Particularly in the North and North West regions. To create inclusive, thriving, connected and sustainable communities.

Stewardship

Embodying the faithful and responsible management of resources. Utilising these resources to serve others while fostering accountability, integrity, and resilience.

Sustainability

Ensuring preservation of environmental, economic and social sustainability. Commitment to long-term actions that reflect God’s love for the community.
